Hebrew School at a Glance

Goals: The goal of the Stuart Stone Hebrew School is to stimulate awareness among our participating families that Judaism is alive today.  Our Hebrew School stresses whole family education as integral to Jewish upbringing.  This will be accomplished through classes using imaginative and thought provoking teaching methods and hands-on experiences for the children.  We aim to make your child's Bar / Bat Mitzvah not just an event but also rather a milestone in their lifelong Jewish education. The Stuart Stone Hebrew School is an innovative school that provides an enjoyable environment for children to receive a broad knowledge of Judaism in a stimulating and challenging way.  Our students gain an appreciation for the joys, values and traditions of our heritage as vividly brought to life by our dedicated and enthusiastic teachers, whose creativity and dynamism make every lesson a unique learning experience.

Hebrew Language: Our students become familiar with the Hebrew alphabet, learn to read, and become accustomed to Hebrew vocabulary.  This program will cater to different levels of knowledge of Hebrew within each age group.  This subject also familiarizes our students with the Siddur – Prayer Book, allowing them to start to feel comfortable in the Synagogue. We will be offering exciting simultaneous classes for the parents as well.  There is nothing more important for your children than to see their parents joining with them in experiencing Jewish education.

Administration:
The Jewish Heritage Center is a well-established organization with a national reputation for dynamic and successful programming.  Our organization has been in existence, serving the public, for two decades.
Our staff is comprised of bright, creative, talented, and especially warm individuals, both men and women.  Ms. Aviva Shatzman, our principal, continues to make the programming stimulating and exciting, which children will not want to miss.

Times: Sunday morning, 9:30 – 12:00
